Witr is the odd-numbered prayer that closes the night, prayed any time after Isha until dawn. A step-by-step guide to the common three-rak'ah form, the qunut supplication in full, and where the schools differ.

Both Eids begin with a special two-rak'ah prayer, prayed together in the morning, with extra takbirs and a sermon afterwards. The sunnahs of the day, the prayer step by step, and the one point where the schools count differently.

The funeral prayer is a short prayer, said standing, in which the community asks God's forgiveness and mercy for someone who has died. What it is, why it matters, and how to pray it — the four takbirs, and what is said after each, with the supplications in full.

Istikhara is the prayer for guidance before a decision — two voluntary rak'ahs followed by a supplication the Prophet ﷺ taught his companions "as he taught us the Suras of the Qur'an." When to pray it, how, the supplication in full, and what to do afterwards.

Three prostrations sit outside the regular shape of the prayer: two to repair a mistake (sujud al-sahw), one on reciting certain verses of the Quran (sujud al-tilawah), and one on hearing good news (sujud al-shukr). When each applies and how to do it.
