Who is behind this

My name is Ahamed. I was born and brought up in a Muslim family, and Islam has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. Journey Into Islam is my attempt to do my own small part: to help share the message of Islam, and to clear up the many misconceptions that surround it.

I am not writing as a scholar issuing rulings. I am putting together a careful, readable guide and pointing — at every step — to the primary sources, so you can see exactly where each statement comes from and look it up yourself.

Who this is for

This site is for everyone — Muslims who want a clear refresher, and non-Muslims who are simply curious and want honest answers without pressure. You can start with the very basics in the Foundations, or follow your curiosity through the prophets, the practices, the history, and everyday life.

Clearing up misconceptions

A lot of what people think they know about Islam comes from headlines, hearsay, or cultural practices that are not actually part of the religion. Wherever it matters, this site tries to separate what Islam teaches from what is sometimes assumed — and to do so fairly, without polemics.

How every claim is sourced

This is the heart of the project, and the promise behind it:

  • Scripture is cited directly. Verses link to the Quran; hadith are cited with their collection, number, and authenticity grade — and weak or fabricated narrations are not used for teaching.
  • Historical and interpretive claims need three independent sources. If something is not stated in scripture, it must be backed by at least three reputable, independent references that agree.
  • You can check everything. The small gold markers throughout each article link straight to a full list of sources at the bottom of the page.

The site presents mainstream Sunni positions, and notes respectfully where sincere scholars differ rather than pretending a single answer exists.

This is a growing project, and it will never be perfect. If you find an error or a source that should be stronger, that feedback is genuinely welcome — getting it right matters more than getting it finished. Thank you for reading with an open heart.
